First Presentation To Young Outliers Mentor Thomas Varghese
We had to present our product and received feedback from Thomas Varghese. We didn’t know this session before and I was nervous when I heard that. Thanks God, I presented well in this session and this session was my first time present in Silicon Valley.
Founder of Povi.Me Seow Yin Lim Sharing Session
Seow Yin is from Melacca, a historical state in our country. She is funny and easy-going. Seow Yin said she was a clever girl in her primary and secondary school. The reason she study in the field of computer science is because a lots of people thought computer science is just for men so she would like to challenge herself. She also told us story about her husband. They studied at same university and in beginning, she really hate him because her husband always in front her, funny right? She is now working in her own startup (POVI.ME) which help to repair relationship between families. Her experience would be a reference of my future life
Speed Dating With Mentors
I loved speed dating. To me, it is thrilling and educational. Before this, I had butterfly in my stomach because I heard that they would be very harsh but I was wrong because they are both friendly and helpful. In speed dating, we presented our product one on one with the mentors which are entrepreneurs or angel investors. After that, the mentor will tell us his suggestion to the product. The mentors were amazing! I appreciated that moment because their suggestions were extremely impressive and effective. They also pointed out our project problems .I inspired by them. They let us know how great the potential of our projects and what can enhance it and this session undoubtedly broaden my horizon. Only one word can express my feeling, WOW!I thanked them gratefully and heartily before the end of the session because I thought I met the right people in my life.
Sharing Session After Speed Dating
Apoorva Sharing Session
Apoorva is an entrepreneur who earn more than millions. We were honoured to have a change listen to his sharing session about modern marketing. This session quite impressed me because I learnt a lot of things here. For example, we need to find out our targeting customer and market size. He also taught us how to set up an online page and how to sell our product.
