Campus Visit Menlo Park Facebook

Facebook is an incredible company and the Menlo Park campus reflects precisely its values. Its full of open spaces to make it easy to connect with other co-workers, and the interiors are fun yet simple, favouring function over form. We were greeted by two workers there. The first thing we saw was a screen that gave out the daily active users of Facebook around the world. I was impressed by the number, 1.12 billion! Can you imagine how big the server engine should be? Then, we went to zones in the Menlo Park. I saw a machine that provide keyboards and a lot of things. The workers only need to press the button. It is very convenient. The workers inside Facebook can find each other easily as there has a system that record all the workers duty area and people only need to put the name and the system will show out where he is. I think Menlo Park is a city because the buildings inside it are varieties. I like the culture there very much and appreciated this visit heartily. Besides, Instagram's office is also inside the enormous Menlo Park.

Campus Visit Googleplex Google

Everyone know Google is a giant tech company like Apple and IBM. I was excited when I knew I have chance to take a look to its campus, Googleplex! I had an amazing experience with greeters. They were extremely professional, personal, and on top of things. They made buying my first home a breeze! She was able to answer all of my questions in a timely manner. Because of we all are Malaysia, they were very understanding about us. I think Googleplex is a city as well, but a better city that provide more facilities like bicycles for employee. Before we had our Campus Visit, we went to buy souvenirs and I had great bargain there. After that, we went to a lot of places in Googleplex. We saw the first server engine that provide Google Search Service. It is amazing, full of wires and buttons. We knew a lot things about Google there. For example, Google provide massage and skip trip for employees to Lake Tahoe and Disneyland. Besides, we had a further understanding about Google Culture like “Employees Resource Groups” and Transportation in Googleplex. I thinks employees here do not need to back home because they can already manage their daily life here! The most important thing is, Googleplex and Menlo Park provide free and variety food for people, that’s why I like them, hahaha! We had our lunch at the biggest cafe inside Googleplex, Charlie's Cafe. The lunch was delicious, a very great thanks to Google and the greeters! I appreciate MDEC to give me these opportunity to visit these amazing campus visits!

Design Workshop

After visits, we went back to MDEC America to have our last rehearsal for tomorrow Dolphin Tank Pitch. Thanks to Datuk Dam, Mr Steve, Mrs Gigi, Ms Amanda, Mr Fazli, Puan Sofia for their support to us!
